Today May 16, hundreds of peasants from Punjab,India led by the All India Kisan Sabha, the largest agrarian fraternity of the country returned after their wheat harvesting to the Singhu border near Delhi.

They were welcomed at Singhu by AIKS President Dr Ashok Dhawale and Finance Secretary P Krishna Prasad. Among the Punjab state leaders of the AIKS were vice president Dharampal Singh Seal, Treasurer Baldev Singh Latala, state committee members Baljit Singh Grewal and Roop Basant Singh and All India Democratic Women Association leader Subash Mattoo.

The AIKS rally, with red flags, marched nearly 5 Km through the farmers camps at the Singhu border and came to the main stage. Here the SKM public meeting was addressed by Dr Ashok Dhawale, Baljit Singh Grewal and Subhas Mattoo.

They attacked the Modi government and called for the massive nationwide success of the SKM call to observe a Black Day on May 26, the day that the historic farmers struggle completes 6 months, and the Modi regime completes 7 disastrous years.
