The Indian Workers’ Association GB, West London is organising a public meeting in Southall on 21st May at 6.00 pm. The guest speakers includes Professor Vijay Prasad, Dean at Trinity College, Connecticut USA, as and Rob Griffiths, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain . The main theme will be a keynote speech by Prof. Prashad on India and the Left. This is of immediate relevance as the meeting will be held 2 days after the election results are announced for the state assembly elections in India.
The colloquium will trace the historic relevance of Shaheed- e-Azam Bhagat Singh , 125 years of Babasaheb Ambedkar and the attempts by the BJP to distort history. We shall recall the international and national contribution by the Late Comrade Harkishan Singh Surjeet and celebrate his birth centenary.The IWA will pay its homage to the late Comrade AB Bardhan, the former General Secretary of the CPI.The meeting will discuss and record the relevance of Bhagat Singh/Kanhaiya Kumar and the youth of today as well.
